The Farm
The Farm
Our farm allows plants to thrive in their most natural state: under the sun and exposed to the elements and seasons that help them grow into their strongest, most genetically unique selves. Located 4,000 feet up the side of Mt. Ashland in Southern Oregon, the high-elevation environment lends a distinct quality to every crop. Sunny days and chilly nights fortify plants and help guard against threats of mold and bacterial growth. Seeds are planted directly into native soil that is dense with minerals and nutrients, nourished with farm-made compost teas and water from a well on the property, and individually tended to by hand by our experienced core crew. Our location also provides the crew with a stunning view of Pilot Rock, the outline of which you can see within the Peregrine falcon’s wing in our brand logo. Peregrine falcons are among the two hundred species of birds that nest in this remarkably biologically diverse region.
We believe in bio-dynamics, sustainability, and compassion; in working with rather than against nature to develop ecological systems that treat the entire farm as one organism living in harmony with the natural world. Our farm is completely pesticide-free, adding nutrients sparingly when necessary—with the smallest level of intervention possible. Our regenerative, non-pesticide, and certified organic practices have earned us Sun + Earth Certified and USDA Certified Organic. We have earned regenerative farming awards from Biovortex, the Resource Innovation Institute and Oregon’s Cultivation Classic cannabis cup.
Alpine Farming
When we say “on the side of a mountain,” we mean it. Our grow is inspired by South American terrace farming, built on the steep incline of a canyon that overlooks the Colestin Valley. That mountainside microclimate means the ever-present breeze keeps the plants moving, preventing mold and fungi growth. Our remote location also provides a natural shield against any neighboring farm’s pest and pathogen issues.
Real Sunlight
When growing anything, real sunlight is ideal. Plants thrive in it. Humans thrive in it. Our planet revolves around it. Full-spectrum sunlight promotes maximum terpene production and helps disrupt pests and pathogens as well. The mountain elevation means our plants experience higher solar intensity, producing terpenes and trichomes that push harder, protect, adapt, and create flowers with supercharged fluorescence.
Terrific Terroir
You’ve maybe heard of the Emerald Triangle in Northern California, one of the best regions for cannabis cultivation in the world? Southern Oregon is the unofficial tip of that region. The farm is located on rich, loamy soil — a mixture of clay, sand, and silt that is dense in nutrients and minerals. Groves of oak trees thrive here, and patches of other medicinal herbs like mullein grow throughout the 80-acre farm.
Seed and Soil Grown
Growing from seed means no two plants are exactly alike, and that genetic diversity results in stronger plants with more lasting, full-bodied effects. Seed plants are hardier and more pest-resistant. Between harvests, we grow cover crops of clover, legumes, etc. to build up organic matter, creating environments for microbial action that pulls carbon and nitrogen from the air down into the soil.
Our core team has their hands on every plant from seed to package, assuring quality, consistency, and sustainability, in harmony with Nature’s calendar.
Spring
-Seeding
Select seeds are germinated in our greenhouse.
-Planting
Directly in the mineral rich earth, the plants mature into their unique selves, on their own time.
— watchful patience —
Summer
-Pruning
Promotes healthy air flow and flower formation.
-Breeding
The change in daylight hours trigger our plants to start flowering; at which time select male pollen is applied by paintbrush to choice female flower.
— buds & love blossom —
Fall
-Harvest
Only when the individual flowers show us that they are ready, do we begin our methodical, slow approach to harvesting each cultivar. Cover crops are planted to keep the soil company through the winter.
-Curing
Custom cure sheds allow the unique characteristics of the flower, strain and terroir to fully come through and shine.
